• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />ACTION REQUIRED: <br />BACKGROUND <br />AGENDA ITEM 6H <br />Michael Grochala <br />August 22, 2005 <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 05 -118 <br />Approving County Project within Municipal <br />Corporate Limits (CSAH 14) <br />Simple Majority <br />City staff has been working with Anoka County, Washington County and the City of <br />Hugo, for the past two years, to complete the design of CSAH 14 (Main Street) from 1- <br />35E to Trunk Highway 61 in Hugo. The project has received federal funding and is <br />expected to be awarded in November of 2005 with the majority of construction starting <br />in 2006. The proposed improvements include the reconstruction of the roadway to a <br />four lane, divided street section. The intersection of Main Street and Otter Lake Road <br />will be signalized as part of the project. The project will also include the construction of <br />a pedestrian /bicycle trail from Otter Lake Road to Trunk Highway 61. <br />Washington County, the lead agency for the project, and Anoka County are requesting <br />municipal approval of the plans. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 05 -118. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
