• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />ACTION REQUIRED: <br />BACKGROUND <br />AGENDA ITEM 6F <br />Michael Grochala <br />January 23, 2006 <br />Consideration of Resolutions No. 06 -11 <br />Revoking Municipal State Aid Street <br />Designation (Birch Street) <br />Simple Majority <br />In December of 2005 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 05 -207 approving the <br />designation CR 154 (Birch Street) from CSAH 21 (Centerville Road) to CR 54 (20th <br />Avenue S) as a County State Aid Highway. Prior to this approval the .75 mile segment <br />was included on the city's Municipal State Aid (MSA) system. <br />Staff is now requesting council authorization to revoke the MSA designation from this <br />road segment. By revoking the MSA status of the roadway the city will free up .75 miles <br />of its available mileage allocation for designation elsewhere in the City. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolutions No. 06 -11 <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
