• <br />• <br />Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved <br />• its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -135 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB <br />APPLICATION FOR A 1 TO 4 DAY TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR <br />LICENSE AND APPLICATION TO CONDUCT OFF -SITE GAMBLING <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute, Section 340, allows the city council to issue a <br />temporary on -sale liquor license to a non - profit organization in connection with a <br />social event sponsored by the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted an application for a <br />temporary on -sale liquor license; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted the application to conduct <br />off -site gambling at St. Joseph Catholic Church; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has paid the required fees, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has conducted an investigation of the Lino <br />Lakes Lions Club, and <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires the <br />applications be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before submitting <br />for approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the request of the Lino Lakes Lions Club for a temporary on -sale liquor <br />license and approval to conduct off -site gambling at St. Joseph Catholic Church <br />on October 7, 2006. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of August, 2006. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member O'Donnell and upon . s.,e being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: Carlson, O'Do' eel Reinert, Stoltz, Bergeson <br />4 er• "son, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell it y Jerk <br />
