• <br />r <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1K <br />STAFF ORIGNINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: August 14, 2006 <br />TOPIC: Consider Approval of Resolution No. 06 -135, <br />Application to Conduct Off -Site Gambling and <br />Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for Lino <br />Lakes Lions Club <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Simple Majority (3/5 Vote) <br />The Lino Lakes Lions Club is planning its annual fundraising "pheasant feed" to be held <br />on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Elm Street. The Lino <br />Lakes Lions Club is requesting approval of a 1 to 4 Day Temporary On -Sale Liquor <br />License application, which is necessary to allow the Lions Club to mix and dispense <br />liquor that will be served as part of the dinner. The club is also requesting approval of an <br />application to conduct off-site gambling. <br />City policy requires a background investigation each time a permit or license application <br />is received. The Lino Lakes Police Department is conducting an investigation of the <br />applicant. <br />A copy of the applications and a copy of the certificate of liquor liability insurance are on <br />file in the city clerk's office. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve Resolution No. 06 -135, application for the 1 to 4 day temporary on -sale <br />liquor license and application to conduct off -site gambling. <br />2. Deny Resolution. <br />
