• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1Gii <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: November 27, 2006 <br />TOPIC: <br />Resolution No. 06 -194, Approving Change Order No. <br />3, Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 1 — Street and Utility <br />Improvements <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 22, 2005 the City Council awarded the Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 1 — <br />Street and Utility Improvements contract to Glenn Rehbein Companies. The current <br />approved contract amount is $2,625,383.85. <br />Change Order No. 3 is for the addition of white colored pervious paving bricks installed <br />to form parking stall strips within the pervious paver on street parking areas. This <br />change removes the need for annual restriping of the stalls. An additional labor charge <br />was incurred due to an error in the stripe locations performed by the engineer. The <br />total cost of the Change Order is $10,005.00. SEH, Inc., will reimburse the City in the <br />amount of $3,705.00 due to the striping error. <br />The total revised contract amount, with the change order, is $2,635,388.85. <br />The cost of the improvements were previously included in the City's financing package <br />and special assessments levied against the properties. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending the adoption of Resolution No. 06 -194, Approving Change Order <br />No.3 in the amount of $10,005.00. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
