The Lino Lakes Lions Club is <br />requesting approval of a 1 to 4 Day Temporary On -Sale Liquor License. The license is <br />necessary to allow the Lions Club to mix and dispense liquor that will be served as part <br />of the dinner. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The applicant is required to submit an application to the city for approval prior to the <br />event and city policy requires a background check on license applicants. Staff has <br />reviewed the application and background and found no reason to deny the license. <br />A copy of the application and the results of the background check are on file in the city <br />clerk's office. The Certificate of Liability Insurance required by the Department of <br />Public Safety, Alcohol & Gambling Division, will be submitted upon city council <br />approval. <br />The organization will also be submitting an application for an Exempt Gambling permit <br />to the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. Staff has confirmed that the Lions Club <br />meets the requirements of the city to allow for charitable gambling for this event. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 12 -10 approving the Lino Lakes Lions Club application for a <br />temporary on -sale liquor license. <br />
