• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12 -25 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LINO LAKES TO PARTICIPATE IN <br />THE MULTI - JURISDICTIONAL ANOKA COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN <br />WHEREAS, on June 23rd, 2003, Lino Lakes City Council adopted the Anoka County <br />Multi- Jurisdictional All Hazard Mitigation Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, FEMA formally approved the Anoka County All Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />and requires the plan to be reviewed and updated every five years; and <br />WHEREAS, the current plan is up for review and re- approval by FEMA in 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, participation in the All Hazard Mitigation Plan is required for a community <br />to receive federal disaster assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, approval of the All Hazard Mitigation Plan will make the County eligible to <br />receive Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) project grants, including potentially some <br />projects benefiting the City of Lino Lakes and its residents; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota that the City hereby states interest in participating in the multi jurisdictional All <br />Hazard Mitigation plan by identifying hazards and prioritizing potential projects to mitigate the <br />effects of natural hazards. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that after FEMA funding approval and during the plan <br />implementation, the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota agrees to participate in the hazard mitigation <br />planning process. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City of Lino Lakes understands this a voluntary program <br />and the City of Lino Lakes participation may benefit the City by identifying hazards and <br />prioritizing projects to mitigate the effects of natural hazards. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 12th day of March, 2012. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rafferty, Roeser, O'Donnell, Stoesz, <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />Ju i. e Bartell, City Jerk <br />Jeff Reine , a o <br />
