• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12 -90 <br />AUTHORIZING SPECIAL EVENT AND PARADE PERMIT FOR 2012 DIVA <br />DASH RUN <br />WHEREAS, Mark Bongers, of Final Stretch, Inc., has submitted an application for a special <br />event and parade /run permit for the 2012 Diva Dash 3.5 Mile and 10K Run; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2012 Diva Dash Run is a planned fundraiser for the Minnesota Ovarian <br />Cancer Alliance; and <br />WHEREAS, a portion of the planned run will be in the city of Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department and the Centennial Fire District have <br />reviewed the application and event plans; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has worked with the city on any questions regarding the event <br />plans and will continue to work with staff to address additional concerns which may arise; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has paid the required fee for a parade /run permit and has submitted <br />proof of general liability insurance covering the event; <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City Council authorizes the proper city staff to issue a special event and parade /run <br />permit to Mark Bongers of Final Stretch, Inc. for the 2012 Diva Dash run event that will be <br />held on November 10, 2012. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of September, 2012. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Roeser and was duly seconded by Council Member ct.,z and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, Stoesz, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell, City lerk <br />
