Mr. Bongers is planning a <br />fundraising event that will benefit the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The event planned is the 2012 Diva Dash, a 3.5 mile /10K run starting at Rice Lake Elementary <br />School in Lino Lakes and running along the routes indicated on the attached maps. Most of the <br />route is within the park reserve and the applicant has obtained permission from Anoka County <br />for use of their facilities. <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department is working with the event planner to ensure that all safety <br />considerations are covered. The application has as well been reviewed by the Centennial Fire <br />District staff and their comments are incorporated into the instructions being provided to the <br />applicant. The applications, site plan and all background information are available for review in <br />the City Clerk's Office. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 12 -90, Special Event and Parade /Run Permit for the 2012 Diva Dash on <br />November 10, 2012. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 12 -90 <br />Map of 3.5 Mile and 10K route <br />
