CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: January 14, 2013 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 13 -01, Approving a Peddler License for <br />Sherco Construction, Inc. <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Sherco Construction Inc., 21833 Viking Blvd. NE, Wyoming, Minnesota, has submitted a <br />peddler's license application to the city clerk's office. The company representatives who <br />would be working in Lino Lakes, Mr. Shayne Hawkins, Mr. Dennis Rediski, Mr. Brian <br />Smith and Mr. Grant Peterson, plan to travel through Lino Lakes' neighborhoods offering <br />free inspections of exterior of home for failed windows, siding, or other damage and <br />leaving brochures and flyer with homeowners. <br />The City has received all the necessary forms required to issue this company a license. <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department has performed background checks and indicated no <br />reason to deny the application. <br />The application and all other required information is on file in the city clerk's office for <br />review. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 13 -01, Issuance of a Peddler License for a six month period <br />commencing January 15, 2013. <br />• <br />
