CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13 -126 <br />APPROVAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE <br />FOR ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS TO POLLING PLACES <br />WHEREAS, city staff would apply for a grant from the Office of the Secretary of State of <br />Minnesota for Federal funds pursuant to Title II, Section 261 of the Help America Vote Act for <br />the sole purpose of improving access to polling places in this city for persons with disabilities; <br />WHEREAS, the city would enter into an agreement with the office of the Secretary of State <br />governing the receipt, expenditure, reimbursement and reporting of such a grant; <br />WHEREAS, the city would receive and account separately in a manner sufficient to meet <br />generally accepted government accounting principles sufficient to pass federal audit; and <br />WHEREAS, the city will expend any sums received in the manner indicated in the grant <br />application and agreement with the office of the Secretary of State. <br />WHEREAS, the city will not be contributing funding if the full amount of the grant is not <br />received. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />approves to submit the grant request to the office of the Secretary of State. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of November, 2013. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Roeser and was duly seconded by Council Member 0' Donnell and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, O'Donnell, Rafferty, Stoesz, R <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />• <br />u an e Bartell, City <br />lerk <br />eff Reine r . • . or <br />
