• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1 E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: January 8, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 07 -04, Approving <br />Application for Temporary On -Sale Liquor <br />License for Northwoods Humane Society <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote) <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Northwoods Humane Society has scheduled a fundraising event at Chomonix Golf <br />Course, 646 Sandpiper Drive, for February 10, 2007. As part of the event, attendees <br />can participate in a complementary wine tasting sponsored by wine vendors. The <br />organization is required to obtain a 1 to 4 Day Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for <br />this activity and they have submitted an application for the license. <br />The applicant is required to submit the application to the city, for approval, at least 30 <br />days prior to the event and City policy requires a background investigation on the CEO <br />each time a permit or license application is received. The Lino Lakes Police Department <br />has completed the background check and has found no reason to deny the license. <br />A copy of the application, a copy of the certificate of liquor liability insurance and the <br />results of the background check are on file in the city clerk's office. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1.
