• <br />• <br />Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -51 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />WITH COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />LAKE DRIVE /I -35W INTERCHANGE RECONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.59, authorizes political subdivisions to <br />enter into Joint Powers Agreements, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes and the County of Anoka agree that it is in the best <br />interest of the traveling public to reconstruct the interchange of I -35W and County State <br />Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive) as soon as possible; <br />WHEREAS, said parties mutually agree that the interchange at I -35W and County State <br />Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive) is in need of reconstruction; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree that it is in their best interest that the cost of said the final <br />design study be shared, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. That the City Council hereby approves the Joint Powers Agreement with the <br />County of Anoka for the Reconstruction of the Interchange of County State Aid <br />Highway 23 (Lake Drive) and I -35W and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to <br />execute said agreement on behalf of the ity. <br />Bartell, Cit� CIer <br />J. Be+Keson, Mayor <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 9th day of April, 2007. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Carlson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />Stoltz, Carlson, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />2 <br />
