• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />AGENDA ITEM 6A <br />Michael Grochala <br />April 9, 2007 <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 07 -51 <br />Approving Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka <br />County for Construction - Lake Drive /I35W <br />Interchange <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />In addition to previous funding for preliminary and final design, Anoka County has <br />committed to $3,700,000 for the reconstruction of the Lake Drive Interchange. The <br />Joint Powers Agreement with Exhibit A provides for the funding in accordance with the <br />terms set forth in the agreement. Anoka County's total participation in the project, <br />including design, is $4,069,148.00 <br />With the execution of the agreement, all the agency funding will be in place for the <br />project. The total estimated project cost, including engineering, land acquisition and <br />contingency is $10,349,000. Funding for the project is as follows: <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br />$5,303,842 <br />$4,069,148 <br />$ 976,000 <br />Letting for the project is currently scheduled for April 26. Construction is anticipated to <br />start in mid May. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of the JPA with Anoka County. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
