•
AGENDA ITEM 1F
STAFF ORIGINATOR: James E. Studenski, City Engineer
COUNCIL MEETING DATE: April 23, 2007
TOPIC: Resolution No. 07 — 57, Revoking Municipal State Aid Street Designation
(M.S.A. 210- 114 -020) and (M.S.A. 210- 115 -020).
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
Each State Aid eligible municipality must submit an annual inventory of the City's
existing and proposed State Aid routes. This annual inventory is the basis that MnDOT
uses to determine allocation of State Aid funds.
M.S.A. 210 - 115 -020 represents County State Aid Highway 12 (Apollo Drive), which is
• not eligible to be part of the Lino Lakes M.S.A. System because it is a County State Aid
Highway (CSAH) and receives State Aid funds through the CSAH system. The 0.25
miles of this segment will be used elsewhere in the M.S.A System to more accurately
represent the City's future needs. See attached MAP #1
M.S.A. 210 - 114 -020 represents Clearwater Creek Drive north of East Cedar Street, the
current alignment passes through an existing commercial property. The total length of
this segment is 0.22 miles. To more accurately represent the City's future needs, 0.12
miles will be re- designated to Cedar Street East from Clearwater Creek Drive to Otter
Lake Road and 0.10 miles will be used elsewhere in the M.S.A System. See attached
MAP #2.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution Number 07 — 57, Revoking Municipal State
Aid Street Designation (M.S.A. 210 - 114 -020) and (M.S.A. 210 - 115 -020).
•
