Special Council Meeting 59 <br />September 27 1981 <br />The Special Meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at <br />II8:00 P.M. by Acting Mayor Elsenpeter, with all other members present. <br />VARIANCE - HAL LEIBEL <br />Mr. Schumacher reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission had reviewed <br />this and recommended approval with the stipulation; 1) that the triangular <br />parcel "A" be transferred to Mr. Leible, the frontage was discussed and <br />it was pointed out that when the home was constructed, there was necessary <br />frontage, but with the realigning of the street this frontage has been de- <br />creased. After some discussion on this matter, Mr. McLean moved to approve <br />the variance request. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously, <br />Mayor Gourley had arrived during this discussion. <br />SEAL COATING PROPOSAL <br />Mr. Schumacher presented Mr. Volk's proposal for the seal coating of certain <br />street within the City, Arrowhear Drive, Totem Trail, Rice Court, Hokah <br />Drive, Red Maple Lane, West Shadow Lake Drive, Shadow Court totaling <br />35,000 square yards seal coating at 0.45 (estimated) per square yard total- <br />ing $15,912.00. There is approximately $9,000.00 in the budget for materials <br />This is proposed to be used for the seal coating. The overall bidget is <br />parrozimately $15,400.00 under budget. Together, these funds should take <br />care of this proposal. <br />I Mrs. Elsenpeter asked how these streets were chosen and Mr. Volk said he <br />had checked all streets in the developments and felt these are the streets <br />that should be done at this time. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to adopt Resolution 81 -24 which authorized the Clerk to <br />advertise for bids. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously <br />Bids are to be opened on September 21, 1981 at 12:00 Noon to be considered <br />at the Council meeting at 8:00 P.M. <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLIVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota : <br />1. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official <br />newspaper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improve - <br />ment under such plans and specifications as outline by the Director <br />of Public Works. <br />2. The advertisement shall be published at least ten (10) days prior <br />to the bid opening date, shall specify the work to be done, shall <br />state that bids will be opened at 12:00 none on September 21, 1981 <br />and considered by the City Council at the regular scheduled Council <br />meeting at 8:00 P.M. on September 21, 1981 in the Council Chambers <br />of the Lino Lakes City Hall. <br />3. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk <br />and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or cer- <br />tified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the anount <br />of such bid. <br />
