60 <br />September 2, 1981 <br />4. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to hold <br />all bids open for a period of ten (10) days before acceptance or <br />rejection. <br />Passed bythe Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 2nd day of September, I/ <br />1981 <br />F. Sarner, Clerk - Treasurer <br />RESOLUTION - CIRCLE PINES SEWER CONNECTION 81 -25 <br />Mr. Schumacher reported that at the last Circle Pines Utilities Commission <br />meeting he had attended, there had been a concern by the Chairman dealing <br />with the gas franchise. Mr. Gibas suggested that the Lino Lakes City <br />Council discuss the gas franchise existing between the tow Cities for possible <br />modification. <br />Mr. McLean did not feel a Resolution is necessary . Mr. McLean moved that <br />the City Administrator be authorized to set up a meeting with the Circle <br />Pines Utility Commission for the purpose of discussing the gas franchise. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Mrs. Elsenpeter asked if this meant that the <br />discussion should be with the Commission and - the Council and Mr. <br />McLean said, Yes. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Jaworski said the Council chamber is not crowded, he moved to waive <br />the "No Smoking" rule. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Fritchie presenred the details of the Fire Study Report that had been <br />done by his committee. The various aspects of this study was discussed <br />with Mr. Fritchie and Mr. Bruce Macdonald, City Fire Marshall, answering <br />questions and summarizing the phases of this study. <br />There was a recommendation of getting together with several other local <br />fire departments for discussion and information. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher to advertise for persons <br />who might be interested in a volunteer fire department and that he get <br />together in the next day or two and set up a date for an informational <br />meeting. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Gourley asked that the Fire Marshall's report be put on the agenda <br />of September 14, 1981. <br />The members of the study were thanked for their time and information and <br />all the work that had gone into this study. <br />Mr. McLean moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Aye. <br />i <br />These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at a regular Council <br />meeting held on September 14, 1981. <br />Edna L.
