1 <br />September 14, 1981 67 <br />Mr. Gotwald suggested a one year limit with the developer to appear be- <br />fore the Council for a review as to the progress of this development. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the street plans and specifications for <br />Shenandoah II with the stipulation that the developer will return to the <br />Council one year from the date of installation of the 2" blacktop for <br />review. Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />NORTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE - BURIED CABLE - LANTERN LANE <br />Mr. Gotwald had checked these plans and recommended approval with some <br />stipulations. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve the installation of the buried cable by <br />Northwestern Bell Telephone subject to the remarks as set forth by Mr. <br />Meister. These remarks are to be forwarded to Northwestern Bell. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There was none. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Mayor Gourley intorduced Resolution 81 -29. Mr. Kulaszewicz asked if this <br />was to be discussed and Mayor Gourley said the Resolution deals with <br />the establishment of a Charter Commission by the City Council to investi- <br />gate the need for a Home Rule Charter for this City. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to adopt Resolution 81 -29. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 81 -29 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHARTER COMMISSION FOR THE <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES. <br />WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes City Council hereby requests the District Court <br />to establish a fifteen (15) member Charter Commission as pro- <br />vided for under Section 410.15, Minnesota Statutes Annotated, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, An interest in Charter Commission for the community has <br />recently been demonstrated, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to investigate the need <br />for such a Charter. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT <br />a fifteen (15) member Charter Commission be established as outlined <br />under Section 410.15, Minnesota Statutes, Annotated and the following <br />list of eligible nominees be used by the District Counrt in making <br />appointments to such Charter Commission. <br />1.
