122 <br />January 4, 1982 <br />City with a good working team - the best one this City has ever had. He <br />expects to have smooth running Council meetings. He expects the <br />Council members to work with him. <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor Benson noted that Mr. Vernon Reinert received the most votes in <br />the Election and therefore he appointed Mr. Reinert as Acting Mayor. Mr. <br />Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD APPOINTMENTS <br />Mr. Reinert moved to reaffirm Mr. Robert Doocy, Mr. Charles Prokop and <br />Mrs. Jan Klaus. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />There are four acancies on this Board - two - three year terms; two - <br />one year terms. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to appoint Mr. Larry Johnson to a three year term. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to appoint Mr. John Juleen for a three year term. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Mr. Marier moved to appoint Mr. John McLean to a three year term Seconded <br />by Mrs. Elsenpeter. <br />Mr. Marier moved to close the nominations. <br />The motion for Mr. Juleen's appointment failed on a three to two vote. <br />The motion for Mr. McLean's appointment passed on a three to two vote. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to appoint Mr. John Juleen to a one year term. Seconded <br />by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to appoint Mr. Richard Goldade to a one year term. <br />Seconded by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Benson asked the City Administrator to send letters to all members <br />to includ the members that were reaffirmed. <br />Mayor Benson appointed Mr. Larry Johnson as Chairman of the Planning and <br />Zoning Board. Mayor suggested this appointment be for a one year term, <br />that person selevt the Vice - Chairman, and in 1983 the Vice - Chairman assume <br />to the position of Chairman. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to appoint Mr. John McLean to this position. Mayor <br />Benson pointed out that this appointment is the prerogative of the Mayor <br />to make this appointment. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz withdrew his motion. <br />RESIGNATION <br />Mr. Marier moved to accept the resignation of Mr. Donald Volk as a <br />member of the Park Board effective January 1, 1982. Seconded by Mr. <br />Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
