188 <br />Council Meeting <br />May 10, 1982 <br />Department - $2,800.00; Police Department - $11,075.00. <br />There was some discussion on the effects of these cuts with the Department Heads <br />answering the questions from the Council. <br />Mr. Marier presented a counter proposal of approximately $20,000.00 more than the <br />above listed figures. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Marier moved to approve the adjustment of $45,375.00 to the <br />1982 budget as presented by Mr. Schumacher. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />1982 STREET MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROPOSAL <br />Mr. Volk had prepared a proposal for the maintenance and repair of the Streets for <br />1982. There were several plans which he explained. There were questions from the <br />Council on the conditions of some of the streets, how much repair was planned for <br />each street, and various aspects of the plan. Mr. Volk and Mr. Davidson answered <br />their questions, with Mr. Davidson suggesting some alternate ways in which some of <br />this work could be done. They will get together and present a final plan for Council <br />consideration. <br />PERMANENT STREET EASEMENT TO ANOKA COUNTY - LAKE DRIVE <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve this permanent street easement adjacent to Lino Park to <br />Anoka County to be used in conjunction with the upgrading and widening of Lake Drive. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ENGINEERING TRANSITION PROPOSAL <br />Mr. Schumacher pointed out the list of projects started by Carley Engineering and <br />not yet completed. He proposed to write to that firm and ask that all projects <br />be completed by August 1, 1982. <br />After some "discussion on this matter, Mr. Reinert moved to approve this proposal and <br />directed Mr. Schumacher to inform Carley Engineering of this decision. Seconded by <br />Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPOINTMENT OF TWO MEMBERS TO CENTENNIAL RECREATIONAL STUDY COMMITTEE <br />Mayor Benson noted that Mr. Cheesebrough had volunteered to serve on this Committee <br />and Mayor Benson felt that someone from the Park Board should be a part of this <br />Committee. He moved to appoint Mr. Charles Cheesebrough and Mrs. Julie LeBlond. <br />Seconded by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 86. <br />This ordinance deals with the manner in which improvements may be petitioned and <br />assessed and is required by the Charter. Mr. Reinert moved to introduce Ordinance <br />#86. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Intersection of County Road J and Highway #49 - Mr. Kulaszewicz asked if there had <br />been any communications from MnDOT on this intersection - There has not. <br />1 <br />
