252 <br />October 12, 1982 <br />Mrs. Daubenspeck appeared before the Council in conjunction with the <br />warning ticket to remove junk cars. She reported that the day after <br />the ticket had been issued, her husband had been injured and is in the <br />hospital. She asked for time to be allowed over and beyond the 21 <br />days as stated on the ticket. <br />After some discussion on this matter, the Council requested Chief <br />Myhre and Mr. Hawkins to work something out as to the extension. <br />FOREST LAKE SERVICE BUREAU MR. OSWALD <br />Mr. Oswald presented the Council with a request that this City <br />participate in a purchase of service agreement. This allows this <br />organization to accept referals to serve without a lot of red tape. <br />Mr. Oswald reported on the type of service performed by his bureau. <br />Mr. Oswald noted that at this point in time they do not provide services <br />for residents of Linwood, Columbus Township and Lino Lakes since these <br />communities do not support the programs. He also noted that this is a <br />non - profit organization. <br />After some questions and answers, Mrs. Elsenpeter asked that this matter <br />be on the agenda at the next budget meeting. Mr. Oswald said he would <br />be glad to come and answer further questions the Council may have. <br />RESET BUDGET /FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING HEARING <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to reset this Public Hearing for October 25, 1982 <br />at 7:30 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PARK BOARD REPORT <br />Mr. Schumacher reported on the request for action from the Park Board <br />for the purchase of park equipment. This equipment would be located in <br />Shenandoah Park. Bob Kline & Assoc. supplying Miracle Equipment and <br />Earl F. Anderson had submitted bids on this equipment. The Park Board <br />had recommended the acceptance of the Miracld equipment. This equipment <br />provides more play area that the other equipment. <br />Mr. Schumacher presented some pictures of the equipment explaining the <br />difference. It was noted that a representative of the JC's was at the <br />Park Board meeting and there is a possibility that that orgainzation <br />will be adding some equipment in this park. <br />1 <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Park Board's recommendation and award <br />the bid to Bob Kline & Associates for the Miracle Equipment in the amount <br />of $5,068.00. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried uannimously. <br />LINO LAKES AREA ASSOCIATION PRESENTATION <br />Mr. Jack Dietsch and Mr. Fred Vesad7, of the Association presented plans <br />and specifications for the construction of a storage building for the <br />equipment needed in their sports programs for the children of this area. <br />It was noted this will be a block building with no utilities, for the <br />specific purpose of storing of sports equipment. <br />The Association had chosen either the City Hall Park or Lino Park for <br />the construction of this building. The Park Board had suggested that <br />
