1 <br />Council Meeting <br />February 14, 1983 <br />2J' <br />This is the authorization to transfer funds for Contractor's escrow <br />accounts to General Fund for reimbursement for apying Engineering and <br />Legal costs involved with plats. This must be done by Resolution per <br />the City's Auditor. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve Resolution #83 -09 and #83 -09A and waive the <br />reading. Seconded by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to reappoint TKDA as the City's Consulting Engineer. <br />Seconded by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried with Mr. Marier and Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz voting, No. <br />Mayor Benson requested that each Council member receive a copy of the <br />Consultant's fee. <br />Special Sue Permit - #27 and 81 -05 - a Public Hearing must be set on <br />these permits. The Public Hearing was scheduled for March 14, 198 at <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Mayor Benson reported on the meeting of the JointjFire Study Task Force <br />Group. There is a cipy of a report on the information from this Task <br />Force. A copy will be supplied for each Council member. <br />Mr. Jerry Blackbird asked if the request for bonding for the utilities <br />in Lakes Add. #7 is still valid or should the request be resubmitted? <br />The general consensus of the Council was the request should be resubmitted. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Public Service Project Fund - This fund would be a part of each <br />community's CDBG funds, held by the County, and individuals could go <br />to the County and apply for assistance. Mr. Schumacher is on a Task <br />Force studying this concept. There was discussion on this, but no <br />decision. The Council felt they would need more information on this <br />suggestion. <br />A letter had been received on the spelling of a street - Laurene or <br />Laurien - the residents wish the correct spelling on the street sign. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter requested Mr. Schumacher to follow up on this matter. <br />Mr. Reinert asked about the correspondence from the League of Small <br />Cities dealing with a formula for State Aid. Mr. Reinert asked if Mr. <br />Schumacher could get more information on this matter. <br />Mr. Schumacher said there are about five different proposals before the <br />legislature for revising the formula for the distribution of State Aid. <br />Mr. Reinert asked if there is a bill? Mr. Schumacher said at the present <br />time there is mostly just lobbying. <br />IIIt was suggested that more information be obtained. <br />Mayor Benson reported that he will have the State of the City address <br />on February 28, 1983. <br />May <br />
