1 <br />1 <br />35 <br />May 9, 1983 <br />The Motion carried with Mr. Reinert voting, No. <br />Mayor Benson asked Chief Myhre how the resignation of Mr. Thornhill <br />would affect the Police Department and what he had done to replace this <br />officer. <br />There was some discussion on the shift and how this could be handled <br />differently. <br />Mr. Marier moved to authorize Chief Myhre to begin the hiring process. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Benson noted that he had received a letter of commendation for <br />the officers who had assisted in an automobile accident. <br />Mayor Benson also noted that he had received some correspondence from <br />the City of Lexington in reference to the Fire Contract. <br />rs. Elsenpeter asked that some research be done on why the boundary <br />lines that the Fire Department serves cannot be changed. It was <br />suggested that the Task Force look into this. <br />Mayor Benson said that Mr. Karth had requested that his name be <br />withdrawn from consideration for the Planning and Zoning Board if he <br />was appointed to the Economic Development Committee. <br />Mr. Schumacher reported that he had spent quite a bit of time with some <br />architects who are putting together a reace track proposal to be located <br />in Lino Lakes. <br />kr. Marier moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz.
