1 <br />1 <br />May 23, 1983 <br />MINUTES, MAY 9, 1983 <br />41 <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the minutes of May 9, 1983 as presented. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />DISBURSEMENTS - MAY 23, 1983 <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz questioned the costs of the new mikes and the necessary <br />equipment to connect. <br />Mr. Reinert questioned the check to Circle Pines - this is for the <br />gas service at Sunrise. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz asked about a bill for the Police Department from <br />Carpenter's Automotive - Mr. Volk explained thisis for parts for <br />vechiles. <br />Mr. Marier asked about the Conference costs - this is for three Council <br />members and Mr. Schumacher to attend the annual League of Cities <br />Conference. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the disbursements as presented. Seconded <br />by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Mrs. Langfeld was present and apologized for having been unable to <br />attend the last meeting. She asked if the Council had any questions <br />they would like for her to answer. She felt that Mr. Torkildson had <br />answered the questions on the park - is there any other area that they <br />would like to discuss? <br />Mr. Marier asked about the Agreement with the County in relationship <br />with the Regional Park. Mrs. Langfeld said the new Board has not taken <br />this up as yet. Mr. Marier asked if she would see to this and Mrs. <br />Langfeld said she would. <br />Mr. Reinert asked, if it would take legislative action to get monetary <br />assistance for services provided by the City in relationsship to the <br />County Park, did she feel the County Commissioners would support the <br />City in such an effort? <br />There was some discussion on this. <br />Mr. Schumacher noted that he had been working with Mrs. Langfeld on the <br />acquisition of the lots along Black Duck. Mrs. Langfeld asked that <br />the Council give her a call at any time. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING REPORT <br />The first item on the agenda was the transfer of a parcel of property <br />along Holly Drive from Father to Som for the purpose of building a home. <br />Mr. Marier - variance says 'split' - is this a split? This is a matter <br />of interpretation. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to recommend the approval of the variance for Mr. <br />Noren to allow the transfer of title to his son for the following <br />
