June 13, 1983 MINNESOTA STATE AID ROAD SYSTEM REPORT 57 Mr. Davidson reported that he and talked with the Minnesota State Highway Department and a portion of the proposed system was not allowed. An alterative proposal had been prepared and the Resolution had not reached the State as yet. Mr. Schuamcher reported that this material had been forwarded to Mr. Glen Van Wormer and he will see that it is forwarded to the State. Mr. Davidson also reported on the meeting of the Engineers in District 5 and the matters that were discussed at that meeting. PARK BOARD REPORT Mr. Schumacher reported on the Park survey noting that there was a good response in that approximately 25% of the surveys were returned. This response will assist the Park Board in making decisions for park development in the future. Mrs. Elsenpeter noted hat there was discussion on the fact that some of the figures could be distorted by the manner in which they were answered. A member of the Park Boare will go through the surveys again to try and bring some of the figures into a more realistic total. There was some discussion on the questions asked, the percentage of tetursn, whether 25% is a good response or not. RESOLUTION REQUIRING POLICE TO ENFORCE PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN LINO PARK Mr.Marier aked why a Resolution is necessary and Mr. Schumacher said there is no Ordinance toenforce and he read the portion of the Ordinance that deals with this. It is necessary to add some language to the ordinance to regulate who uses the parking lots. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to authorize the Attorney to draft this languag3 and bring back to the Council. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. CLERK'S REPORT The Clerk reported that the applications for liquor license renewals had been given to Mr. Hawkins for his inspection. She also reported on an application from St. Joseph's Church for a set -up permit and a ganling permit - this City has no provisions for the issuance of either one of these permits. There is also an application from Maudie's fora 3.2% Beer permit for a soft ball tournament to be held at Sunrise Park on June 25/26th. Mr. Hawkins noted that the issuance of set -up licenses and gambling licenses must have an ordinance supporting this action. Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to authorize the Attorney to draft proper language for the issuance of set -up licenses and gambling liceses and have for the next Council meeting. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously.
