June 13, 1983 <br />MINNESOTA STATE AID ROAD SYSTEM REPORT <br />57 <br />Mr. Davidson reported that he and talked with the Minnesota State Highway <br />Department and a portion of the proposed system was not allowed. An <br />alterative proposal had been prepared and the Resolution had not reached <br />the State as yet. <br />Mr. Schuamcher reported that this material had been forwarded to Mr. Glen <br />Van Wormer and he will see that it is forwarded to the State. <br />Mr. Davidson also reported on the meeting of the Engineers in District <br />5 and the matters that were discussed at that meeting. <br />PARK BOARD REPORT <br />Mr. Schumacher reported on the Park survey noting that there was a good <br />response in that approximately 25% of the surveys were returned. This <br />response will assist the Park Board in making decisions for park <br />development in the future. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter noted hat there was discussion on the fact that some of <br />the figures could be distorted by the manner in which they were answered. <br />A member of the Park Boare will go through the surveys again to try and <br />bring some of the figures into a more realistic total. <br />There was some discussion on the questions asked, the percentage of <br />tetursn, whether 25% is a good response or not. <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING POLICE TO ENFORCE PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN LINO PARK <br />Mr.Marier aked why a Resolution is necessary and Mr. Schumacher said <br />there is no Ordinance toenforce and he read the portion of the Ordinance <br />that deals with this. It is necessary to add some language to the <br />ordinance to regulate who uses the parking lots. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to authorize the Attorney to draft this languag3 <br />and bring back to the Council. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />CLERK'S REPORT <br />The Clerk reported that the applications for liquor license renewals had <br />been given to Mr. Hawkins for his inspection. <br />She also reported on an application from St. Joseph's Church for a set -up <br />permit and a ganling permit - this City has no provisions for the issuance <br />of either one of these permits. <br />There is also an application from Maudie's fora 3.2% Beer permit for a <br />soft ball tournament to be held at Sunrise Park on June 25/26th. <br />Mr. Hawkins noted that the issuance of set -up licenses and gambling <br />licenses must have an ordinance supporting this action. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to authorize the Attorney to draft proper language <br />for the issuance of set -up licenses and gambling liceses and have for <br />the next Council meeting. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
