1 <br />August 8, 1983 <br />79 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order <br />at 7:00 P.M., August 8, 1983 by Mayor Benson with all members present <br />with the exception of Mr. Marier. Mr. Hawkins, Mr. Davidson, Mr. <br />Schumacher and Mrs. Sarner were also present. <br />OATH OF OFFICE - CHARTER COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Mr. Hawkins administered the Oath of Office to the following members; <br />MR. Kincade, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Reinert, Mr. Weible. The following <br />members were absent and will beed to take the oath of office at a later <br />date' Mrs. Liljedahl, Mr. Merrill, Mr. Ostlie, Mr. Rosengren. <br />MINUTES - JULY 25, 1983 <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the minutes as presented. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />DISBURSEMENTS - JULY 31, 1983 /August 8, 1983 <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the disbursements as listed. Seconded <br />by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Mr. Weible appeared before the Council to register a complaint against <br />the operation of Maudie's. He listed the violations the he had observed <br />at that location to include noise, traffic problems, etc. He also re- <br />quested the Council to set a violation standard that must happen before <br />the establisment can be closed. <br />Mr. Hawkins pointed out this is all spelled out ini:the Ordinance or in <br />the State Laws adopted by reference. Mr. Hawkins noted that he has not <br />received any complaints. <br />Mr. Reinert suggested that he present his list of complaints to the Police <br />Chief and the Chief discuss these things with the management and request <br />that the itmes be watched and, if there is a violation, clear it. <br />CLERK's REPORT <br />The Clerk presented a request from the Circle -Lex Lions Club for a 3.2% <br />Beer permit for Sand Burr days to be held on September 10th and llth. <br />Mr. Craig Bartlett appeared before the Council to answer questions in <br />regards to this request. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to approve the request for a 3.2% Beer for Sunrise <br />Park during Sand Burr Days on September 10th and llth. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. <br />Mr. Schumacher questioned what happens to the proceeds? Mr. Bartlett <br />said the proceeds are kept in the community and are give to the parks, <br />fire department, etc. He said the only park that has received money is <br />Sunrise Park. They are working on a park in Circle Pines at the present. <br />Motion carried unanimously, <br />
