Council Meeting <br />October 11, 1983 <br />The Clerk reported this request had been approved by the City Engineer. <br />Mr. Mr. Hawkins noted that the closing on the Bond Issue is scheduled for <br />next week. <br />117 <br />Mr.Reinert moved to approve this partial payment of $23,869.22 on the <br />Baldwin Lake Mobile Home Sewer Project. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Partial Payment - Senior Citizen Center - This requesat is in the amount <br />of $57,296.00. The Clerk noted this request will be submitted to Anoka <br />County for payment. Mr. Marier moved to approve this payment. Seconded <br />by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Senior Center Revision - Mayor Benson noted the changes that resulted in <br />a savings from the original bid and there are some options that can now <br />be included at no extra costs. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the change orders to include the installation <br />of the sky light. Seconded by MR. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Considering deleting Columbus Day as a legal holiday and naming the <br />Friday after Thaksgiving as a legal holiday. There had been an Attoreny <br />General's opinion, the government may designate either day or neither day. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Thanksgiving Friday as a legal holiday <br />Iand delete Columbus Day as a legal holiday. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BIISINESS <br />Mr. Marier moved to table Chief Myhre's report. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />NEW BIISINESS <br />Mayor Benson noted the letter received from Schilling Construction in <br />referenct to the lift station. This is for their information. <br />Mayor Benson also noted the information sent to Mr. Craig Marshall on <br />Sandpiper Drive. He asked if there had been any feed back from Mr. <br />Marshall and the Clerk said there had been none. <br />Mayor Benson reported that he had a phone call from a Mr. Hendirckson on <br />a business sign - Mr. Kluegel was to get some information on this - did <br />anyone else receive a phone call on this? No one had any information <br />on this matter. Mr. Kluegel is to follow up on this and report back at <br />the next Council meeting. <br />Mayor Benson discussed the letter received on the upgrading of County <br />Road J noting there is to be another meeting on this project. The Clerk <br />was instructed to forward this information to Mr. Volk and ask that he <br />attend. If he cannot make the meeting, the Counci is to be informed. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Aye. 7:40 P.M. <br />
