Council Meeting <br />January 9, 1984 <br />159 <br />WEED INSPECTOR - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to re- appoint Mr. Allan Robinson <br />as weed inspector for 1984. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />FIRE MARSHALL - Mr.Kulaszewicz moved to appoint Mr. Mark Frieden as <br />Fire Marshall for the City. Seconded by MR. Marier. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the re- <br />appointment of Mr. Charles Cape. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />HEALTH OFFICER - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the Anoka County <br />Health Department as the City's representative. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />FISCAL AGENT - Mr. Reinert moved to appoint Springsted, Inc. as the <br />Fiscal Agent for the City. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />LEGAL NEWSPAPER - Mayor Benson felt it would be wise to allow the three <br />newspapers to appear before the Council with their presentation at a <br />future date. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to ask the newspapers to present their proposals <br />to the City Council on February 13, 1984 and to continue to use the <br />White Bear Press in the interim. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Gene Johnson, of the Quad Press, was present and made a brief <br />statement on behalf of his paper. <br />Mayor Benson appointed Mr. Reinert as Acting -Mayor for the year 1984. <br />Mayor Benson made the following liaison appointments; <br />Planning and Zoning <br />Cable Commission <br />Street Committee <br />Park Board <br />Ways & Means <br />Charter Commission <br />Suburban Chamber of Commerce <br />Vadnais Heights Water Management <br />Rice Creek Watershed <br />Economic Development Committee <br />Police Committee <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />Mr. Bohjanen <br />Mayor Benson & Mr. Marier <br />Mr. Bohjanen <br />Mayor Benson & Mr. Marier <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />Mr. Reinert <br />Mr. Reinert <br />Mr. Reinert <br />Mayor Benson <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz & Mr. Marier <br />ATTORNEY's REPORT <br />Mr. Hawkins had no report at this time. <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT REQUEST - MR.
