186 <br />Council Meeting <br />February 27, 1984 <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that no matter how this land is sold, if it is, <br />the money received is to be deposited in the Dedicated Park Fund <br />for use in the Parks. Seconded by Mr. Marier. <br />Mrs. Lois Tuckner, owner of the lands to the East of this property, <br />said they want to plat and had suggested that a parcel of their land <br />be exchanged for this park property and buy back this park. <br />There was discussion on the possibility that the City may be unable to <br />sell this land due to the manner is which it had been received. <br />The Council suggested that Mrs. Tuckner proceed with her platting and <br />present to the Planning and Zoning Board for their consideration. <br />The matter of the deed to this land will be researched by the staff. <br />On ovting on the motion, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Council returned to the Agenda. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE 49er's 1984/85 CONTRACT <br />1 <br />Mr. Schumacher had prepared a copy of the Contract for all Council <br />members. He briefly noted the changes in the language of the Contract. <br />The salary increas for 1984 is 5 %, the clothing allowance is raised <br />from $50.00 to $100.00 and 66% of the family insurance coverage is <br />to be paid by this City. The figure on the insurance becomes <br />a cap figure in 1985. The salary increase in 1985 is 4 %. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve this Contract as presented. Seconded <br />by MR. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION FOR NON UNION AND <br />SUPERVISORY EMPLOYEES <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the recommendations of the Ways & Means <br />Committee for salary adjustments for the personnel in these areas. <br />There was some discussion on the City Administrator's salary and on <br />the Police Chief and Sergeant. Members of the Ways and Means Committee <br />requested that the Administrator's salary adjustment be tabled until <br />the next meeting for some clarification. The Police Chief and Sergeant <br />will be notified of their salary adjustment when the Police Task Force <br />has completed their study. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the recommendations of the Ways and <br />Means Committee with the exception of the City Administrator's salary. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier, noting that this item will be on the next <br />atenda. Motion carried unanimously. <br />GOALS AND GUIDELINES - POLICE TASK FORCE <br />Mr. Marier reported to the Council this body had met on February 21, <br />1984 and had discussed some areas for study. <br />
