1 1 Council Meeting February 27, 1984 187 Mayor Benson appointed Dr. Frudem as Chairman of this Task Force. Mr. Marier reported that Kay Murphy had been appointed as Vice - Chairman; Jan Apitz as Secretary. Some rules had been formulated. It will be necessary to have 5 members to constitute a quorum and if a member is not present for two consecutive meetings, he will be replaced. Some of the areas to be researched are; 1) Organization; 2) Administration; 3) Budget; 4) Shared Services; 5) needs for the future. This Task Force will meet on the third Tuesday of each month and Mr. Marier will report back to the Council. ENGINEER's REPORT Mr. Davidson presented the plans and specifications for the completion of Reiling Road. He requested approval from the Council and authorization to advertise for bids on this project. RESOLUTION #84 -05 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS ANS SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, pursuant to a REsolution passed by the Council on October 24, 1983, the City Engineer, Mr. John Davidson, has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Reiling Road from the existing surface for 600 feet to the West line of Lot 11 and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES, MINNTESOTA 1. such plans ans specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans ans specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 14 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids iwll be received by the Clerk until 10:00 A.M. on March 22, 1984, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk and Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at 7:30 P.M. on March 26, 1984 in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid.
