1 <br />1 <br />Council Meeting <br />February 27, 1984 <br />187 <br />Mayor Benson appointed Dr. Frudem as Chairman of this Task Force. Mr. <br />Marier reported that Kay Murphy had been appointed as Vice - Chairman; <br />Jan Apitz as Secretary. Some rules had been formulated. It will be <br />necessary to have 5 members to constitute a quorum and if a member is <br />not present for two consecutive meetings, he will be replaced. <br />Some of the areas to be researched are; 1) Organization; 2) Administration; <br />3) Budget; 4) Shared Services; 5) needs for the future. <br />This Task Force will meet on the third Tuesday of each month and Mr. <br />Marier will report back to the Council. <br />ENGINEER's REPORT <br />Mr. Davidson presented the plans and specifications for the completion <br />of Reiling Road. He requested approval from the Council and <br />authorization to advertise for bids on this project. <br />RESOLUTION #84 -05 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS ANS SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a REsolution passed by the Council on <br />October 24, 1983, the City Engineer, Mr. John Davidson, has <br />prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of <br />Reiling Road from the existing surface for 600 feet to the <br />West line of Lot 11 and has presented such plans and <br />specifications to the Council for approval: <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNTESOTA <br />1. such plans ans specifications, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby <br />approved. <br />2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted <br />in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin <br />an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved plans ans specifications. <br />The advertisement shall be published for 14 days, shall <br />specify the work to be done, shall state that bids iwll <br />be received by the Clerk until 10:00 A.M. on March 22, <br />1984, at which time they will be publicly opened in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk <br />and Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be <br />considered by the Council at 7:30 P.M. on March 26, <br />1984 in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be <br />considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid <br />bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5% <br />of the amount of such bid. <br />Passed by the Council this 27th day of February, 1984. <br />
