Mr. Volk <br />recommended acceptance of the low bid. <br />Mr. Marier moved to accept the bid of Dependable Heating in the amount <br />of $6260.00. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Volk presented the bids for the concrete work to include the floor <br />in the Council Chamber and the patio for the entrance. The two bids <br />received were ; Jim Stevens - $4000.00; Rooster Const. - $3745.00. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the low bid from Rooster Construction <br />in the amount of $3,745.00. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Volk presented the bids for the electrical work to be done in the <br />Chamber and recommended the acceptance of the bid submitted by Rivard <br />Electrical. Mr. Marier moved to accept the bid from Rivard Electrical <br />in the amount of $3,185.00 Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the bids for the installation of the folding <br />partitions between the Council Chamber and the Senior Center. There <br />were two bids - 1) Mahin Waly - total amount to include installation - <br />$3,630.00 and 2) Pella Wood, with no installation costs included - <br />$1,670.00. Mr. Schumacher recommended the more expensive partitions and <br />listed hisreasons. After some discussion on the merits of the more ex- <br />pensive folding doors, Mr. Marier moved to approve the bid of Mahin Waly <br />in the amount of $3,630.00 - this figure to include the installation costs. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />SHOREVIEW - WATER AND SEWER EXTENSION <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the report on the cost of the feasibility report <br />as received from Shoreview. The costs on this would be $3500.00 and <br />Lino Lakes' share of the cost would be $1850.00. <br />Mr. Marier moved to allocate funds for this feasibility study in the <br />amount of $1850.00 Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Proposed Legislation for Joint Service Grants - Mr. Reinert explained <br />the meeting with the elected officials on this matter and at the present <br />time there is proposed legislation. This legislation is in hearings <br />and he will keep the Council posted on the progress. <br />Ways and Means Committee Recommendations - It was pointed out that all <br />items on this recommendation had been approved with the exception of <br />the City Administrator. Mr. Marier asked this be tabled for the next <br />agenda, noting that any adjustment in the salary would be retroactive <br />to January 1. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />There had been some questions on the refuse hauling in the CI.* of Lino <br />Lakes. Mr. Schumacher presented a map that had been prepared showing <br />the areas of overlap by the several companies that serve this area. <br />
