207
April 9, 1984
OPEN MIKE
There was no one to appear under this portion of the agenda.
ENGINEER's REPORT
Mr. Davidson reported on the special meeting with the developers
interested in the sewer addition. He reported that there were two
developers who are definately committed to this project, to include the
State Facility. Mr. Davidson felt a program was necessary to give the
City some assurance this project would be able to support itself. Mr.
Davidson made some suggestions. He reported that he had requested Mr.
Langness of Springsted's to put together some figures supporting these
suggestions. He would then like to meet with the Council and the
developers to go through these figures and arrive at some decision on
this matter.
After some discussion on this matter, a meeting was scheduled for April
23, 1984 at 5:30 P.M. for this meeting with teh Council and the developers
The developers are to be notified of this meeting.
Mr. Davidson reported on a plat correction that had been forwarded to
him for confirmation of the corrections that had been made.
Mr. Marier moved to approve the corrections as presented on the Wollan's
Estates. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Davidson presented a status report on the water problem in Sherwood
Greer Mr. Nelson had talked with teh property owners to the West and
those owners are not in favor of giving an easement for the purpose of
draining this plat. It had been suggested this easement be routed
through the Air Park. This will entail more work and Mr. Davidson re-
quested permission from the Council to proceed with this work.
Mr. Reinert moved to approve this request. Seconded by Mr. Marier.
Motion carried unanimously.
CHIEF MYHRE's REPORT
Chief Myhre reported that the current towing contractor has submitted a
concellation of this contract. Cheif Myhre said the next low bidder
could be used or if the Council wishes, the contract could be re -bid.
He would recommend using the Blue Tow firm, who was the next low bidder
and they are willing to take over this contract.
There was discussion on the charges, location of the lot and other items,
which Chief Myhre answered.
Mr. Reinert moved to accept the recommendations of the Chief and award
the remainder of the 1984 contract to Blue Tow. Seconded by Mr.
Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously.
On the second question, Chief Myhre said the first step in replacing the
Police Officer is to offer the position to the two part -time Patrolmen
that re now on the Force. Cheif Myhre outlined the process from that
point, if the two men refuse the position.
