244 <br />June 11, 1984 <br />CONTINUATION OF THE PARK BOARD REPORT <br />Court Bids - Mr. Schumacher presented the two bids for the <br />surfacing of the Tennis Courts in Arena Acres. One bid of $2,320.00 <br />and one bid of $2,764.00. The Park Board recommended approval of the <br />low bid with the addition of $100.00 for the two colors. This money <br />is to be paid from the dedicated park fund. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the recommendation of the Park Board. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Shelves for storage building - Mr. Schumacher reported that the VFW <br />had given $300.00 earmarked for this project. The Park Board will <br />pick up the balance of this cost. Mr. Marier moved to approve this <br />request. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. <br />Schumacher noted this should be approximately $50.00. <br />BMX Track Announcer's Tower - The Park Board had considered this re- <br />quest from Mr. Klienhans and had recommended the expenditure of <br />dedicated funds in the amount of $250.00/$350.00 for the construction <br />of this structure. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve this recommendation - to be expended <br />from dedicated park funds. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Parking on West Shadow Lake Drive - There is parking on that street <br />near the culvert by fishermen. The Park Board had requested some <br />"No Parking" signs be erected along that stretch of street to be <br />left to the discretion of the Public Works supervisor. Mr. Marier <br />moved to approve this request. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Benson noted that he had also received a letter about the park- <br />ing along Aqua Lane. This will be on the next agenda. <br />Consideration of resignation of Mr. Jim Arntzen - Mr. Arntzen is <br />moving out of the City. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to accept this resigna- <br />tion and a letter to be sent thanking him for his time spent on the <br />Park Board. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. Schumacher requested a date be set for the organizational meeting <br />of the Fire' Commission. Mr. Reinert moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher <br />to contact Centerville and schedule this meeting. Seconded by Mr. <br />Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Senior Center Kitchen Bids - Mr. Schumacher reported on the bids re- <br />ceived for the installation of the cabinets in the kitchen; 1) Lino <br />Cabinet - $5,380.00; Hirsch's - $5,330.00; 3) Jerry's Kitchens - <br />$4,253.00. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the low bid from Jerry's <br />Kitchens. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Internship - Mr. Schumacher reported that he had checked for a local <br />person and did not find any. He requested authorization to continue <br />
