042 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 22, 1984 <br />Page Seven <br />Mayor Benson felt the City should not be negotiating for a new <br />squad at this time unless it is an exceptionally good buy. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Ford Property- Hodgson. Mayor Benson asked about the cleanup <br />progress. Mr. Kluegel said he had talked to Mrs. Ford and <br />reminded her if the property was not cleaned as ordered by the <br />judge, Mr. Ford faces 60 days in jail. <br />2. Mayor Benson asked if the stripping at 49 Club parking lot is <br />finished. Mr. Kluegel said it was. <br />3. Mr. Reinert asked if Mr. Volk has conducted a study on the <br />garbage pick -up in the City. Mr. Schumacher said he did not <br />know how far he has progressed. Mr. Reinert asked Mr. Schumacher <br />to check and see what has been done about this. <br />4. Mayor Benson asked about the status update on the City vehicles. <br />This is to be an agenda item for the next Council meeting <br />under Old Business. <br />Mrs. Madeline Papermaster from LaMotte Road asked to make a state- <br />ment regarding the bow hunting in the Rice Lake Chain of Lakes Park. <br />She asked that the neighboring residents be made aware of the actions <br />prior to the start of such action for safety reasons. She also asked <br />that all hunters enter through the main gate and cited problems she <br />had regarding hunters in her back yard. <br />Mr. Reinert suggested she put her concerns in a letter and send it <br />to Mrs. Langfeld, her County Commissioner. <br />Mayor Benson said he would like a letter from the City directed to <br />Mrs. Langfeld at the end of the hunting season asking a report on <br />this bow season and expressing the concerns of the City and its <br />citizens. <br />Mayor Benson noted receipt of a copy of a letter written by Mr. <br />Davidson to H & S Asphalt letting them know if they do any work in <br />the City in the future they will meet all City specifications. <br />Note was made of receipt of a letter from Doug Crampton, 855 Orange <br />Street stating he is interested in the vacant position on the <br />Park Board. Mr. Bohjanen moved to appoint Mr. Crampton to the <br />Park Board. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion declared <br />passed. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn at 8:20 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen seconded <br />the motion.
