1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 28, 1985 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to <br />order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Benson. Council members present: <br />Bohjanen, Reinert, Marier, Kulaszewicz. City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; <br />Acting City Engineer, Jim Johnson; Building Inspector, Pete Kluegel; <br />Assessor, Margie Roisum; Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk - <br />Treasurer, Marilyn Anderson were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JANUARY 14, 1985 <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />091 <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS - JANUARY 28, 1985 <br />Mr. Marier asked about the disbursement to Northern Services for <br />water pipe damages. Mr. Schumacher explained this is for cleanup <br />after the water pipes broke near the Senior Center again. The <br />contractor will reimburse the City for these costs either through <br />bond company or the money the City has retained from the original <br />building contract. The architect, and the bonding company- will <br />be meeting with Mr. Schumacher later this week to determine how <br />this will be handled. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the disbursements as presented.. <br />Mr. Marier seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS <br />Mayor Benson said the State of the City message_is an annual update <br />on where the City stands each year. <br />The entire address can be found at the end of this evening's minutes. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />No one appeared for open mike. <br />SENATOR DAHL TO DISCUSS FUTURE LEGISLATION CONCERNING LINO LAKES <br />Mayor Benson explained to the Council that Senator Dahl has another <br />commitment. He will appear before the Council in the near future. <br />In the meantime, Senator Dahl will meet with Mr. Schumacher, Circle <br />Pines Mayor Dahl and Administrator Craig Rapp on Thursday to discuss <br />some of the upcoming legislation. <br />CONSIDERATION OF RESIGNATION OF OFFICER JON ESSIG EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY <br />8, 1985 <br />The Council has received a letter from Officer Essig stating his <br />intention to resign effective February 8, 1985 to accept a position <br />with Representative Gerry Sikorski. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to accept Mr. Essig's resignation.
