1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />Page Nine January 28, 1985 <br />Mr. Reinert read the definition for 'temporary' from the sign <br />ordinance, it was felt this definition needed more strength. <br />Mr. Schumacher reminded the Council that they need to state <br />a reason for denying or approving variances and conditional <br />use permits. <br />099 <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve Mr. Swistowski's request for <br />putting up of a temporary sign for advertising his business <br />for the rest of 1985 to include approval of the conditional <br />use permit and variances. In making this motion he stated <br />he thought the Council would be acting in the best interest <br />of this gentleman in terms of allowing him to function and <br />maintain a viable business so that he can measure the effect <br />of his advertising along the highway versus the phone calls <br />coming out of the yellow pages. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried with Mr. Marier'and-- ML._Kulaszewicz <br />voting, no. <br />B. Set Public Hearing for Rezone - -Joe Spetzman - February 25, <br />1985, 8:00 P.M. - Mr. Marier moved to set the public hearing. <br />Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried- unanimously. <br />Mr ,Kluegel noted that the sign ordinance does not address a fee <br />for a permit for a temporary sign. Mr. Marier moved to set a fee <br />of $10.00 for a temporary sign permit for a 30 -day period. Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF AMENDED SENIOR-KITCHEN-BIDS- <br />On December 27,=1984 the Council_ accepted the low bid from Edward <br />Don and-Co . Shortly .after-the-bidder said he had three - pieces <br />of alternate equipment - -that- was- zzse d- and-wou ld - like - =to submit for <br />Council consideration- -.This would- result in a $1,547- savings and <br />the Senior Council has requested the City Council rescind the motion <br />of December 27, -1984 and award bids to Goulet Aslesen. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to rescind his motion of December 27, 1984 <br />awarding bid to Edward Don and Co. -Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously_ <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to award the bid for $9,970 to Goulet Aslesen <br />for cabinet work. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to award the bid for $4,850.84 to Goulet Aslesen <br />for appliances. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
