026 COUNCIL MEETING June 10, 1985 Page Thirteen Mayor Benson received a letter from Metropolitan Council deal- ing with the development guide and population forecasts for 1990 and 2000. It asks for the Cities comments on the fore- casts. He suggested Mr. Kluegel, Mr. Schumacher and the Econ- omic Development Committee formulate some comments and forward them on to Mr. Ward at the Metro Council. E) Mayor Benson has received a letter from County Commissioner Margaret Langfeld indicating a vacancy on the Anoka County Private Industry Board. They are looking for recommendations from the,City for someone to fill this vacancy. She suggested Mr. Schumacher could ask in the community if anyone is inter- ested in this position. F) City Hall Remodeling - Mr. Schumacher asked if anyone had any questions on this plan. Mr. Kulaszewicz felt it was well pre- sented. Mayor Benson asked Mr. Schumacher to send a memo to the Council members telling them this will be reviewed at the next Council meeting. Mr. Schumacher asked if he could go ahead and pursue getting bids on some of the electrical and mechanical work that needs to be done. Mr. Bohjanen moved to table this until the next meeting and allow Mr. Schumacher to pursue getting bids for the electrical and mechanical work. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Volk said he is still in the process of finding newer veh- icles to replace some of those placed out on bids. He will be going to a General Motors auction on Wednesday. Mr. Volk said he has not contacted the high bidder on the old City vehicles. He will probably wait until he has replacement vehicles.
