064 COUNCIL MEETING August 12, 1985 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order by Mayor Benson at 7 :24 P.M., August 12, 1985. Council mem- bers present: Bohjanen, Reinert, Marier, Kulaszewicz. City Attor- ney, Bill Hawkins; Engineer, John Davidson, Accountant, Joe Huss; Administrator Randy Schumacher and Clerk - Treasurer, Marilyn Ander- son were also present. CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES Regular Meeting, July 22, 1985 - Mr. Marier moved to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion carried with Mayor Benson abstaining. Special Meeting, July 25, 1985 - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mo- tion carried with Mayor Benson abstaining. CONSIDERATION OF DISBURSEMENTS July 31, 1985 - Mr. Reinert moved to approve the disbursements as presented. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Mr. Kulaszewicz questioned the purchase of the truck for Public Works. Mayor Ben- son said the cost is about $1000 - $1500 under Mr. Volk's estimate. Motion carried unanimously. August 12, 1985 - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve these disburse- ments with the exception of the disbursement to Apitz Garage and Minar Ford, Inc. Mr. Schumacher will get clarification of these expenditures before Council approval. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. OPEN MIKE Herbert Johnson - Mr. Johnson updated the Council on the installa- tion of Cable TV in Lino Lakes. At this date there are 2,118 custo- mers on the total Group W System and title is being cleared so that the tower can be constructed on Old Birch Street. Restoration is being completed and complaints by residents are being resolved to everyones satisfaction. Mr. Johnson and several other Cable TV commissioners are being sent to St. Louis, Missouri to be updated regarding federal regulations and proposed federal regulations. At this time Mr. Johnson is very satisfied with the Group W Cable in- stallations. Mr. Johnson expressed his concern about the animal control in Lino Lakes and said he has a great deal of problems in his neighborhood with dogs running loose at night and getting into garbage containers. Mr. Schumacher explained that normally residents notify the City Offices of the problem and the City notifies the Animal Control who resolves the problem with the help of the Police Department. 1 1 1
