064 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 12, 1985 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Benson at 7 :24 P.M., August 12, 1985. Council mem- <br />bers present: Bohjanen, Reinert, Marier, Kulaszewicz. City Attor- <br />ney, Bill Hawkins; Engineer, John Davidson, Accountant, Joe Huss; <br />Administrator Randy Schumacher and Clerk - Treasurer, Marilyn Ander- <br />son were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting, July 22, 1985 - Mr. Marier moved to approve these <br />minutes as presented. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried with Mayor Benson abstaining. <br />Special Meeting, July 25, 1985 - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve <br />these minutes as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mo- <br />tion carried with Mayor Benson abstaining. <br />CONSIDERATION OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />July 31, 1985 - Mr. Reinert moved to approve the disbursements as <br />presented. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />questioned the purchase of the truck for Public Works. Mayor Ben- <br />son said the cost is about $1000 - $1500 under Mr. Volk's estimate. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />August 12, 1985 - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve these disburse- <br />ments with the exception of the disbursement to Apitz Garage and <br />Minar Ford, Inc. Mr. Schumacher will get clarification of these <br />expenditures before Council approval. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Herbert Johnson - Mr. Johnson updated the Council on the installa- <br />tion of Cable TV in Lino Lakes. At this date there are 2,118 custo- <br />mers on the total Group W System and title is being cleared so that <br />the tower can be constructed on Old Birch Street. Restoration is <br />being completed and complaints by residents are being resolved to <br />everyones satisfaction. Mr. Johnson and several other Cable TV <br />commissioners are being sent to St. Louis, Missouri to be updated <br />regarding federal regulations and proposed federal regulations. At <br />this time Mr. Johnson is very satisfied with the Group W Cable in- <br />stallations. <br />Mr. Johnson expressed his concern about the animal control in Lino <br />Lakes and said he has a great deal of problems in his neighborhood <br />with dogs running loose at night and getting into garbage containers. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that normally residents notify the City Offices <br />of the problem and the City notifies the Animal Control who resolves <br />the problem with the help of the Police Department. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
