COUNCIL MEETING .August 112, 1985 Page Five Mr. Davidson told the Council he and Mr. Volk had both met Mr. Jim Steinke of Group W. Cable TV regarding placing underground cable under three city streets and several driveways. It was Mr. David - sons opinion that rather than jack the cable under the pavement it would be less disruptive if the street were open cut and cable laid and the street restored. He had set some standards on this proce- dure and Mr. Steinke had no problem with this. Mr. Davidson told the Council the County is going to provide traffic counters so the required traffic counts can be taken. The City will have to provide the batteries for the counters. There will have to be traffic counts conducted in sixteen locations between now and October. CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION #85 -12 PETITIONING RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT FOR WATER MAINTENANCE FUNDS Mr. Schumacher explained this resolution was also requested at the Special Council Meeting held with Rice Creeks Watershed District and Anoka County at the July 25, 1985 Meeting. It was the consensus of those at this meeting that the City Council could request through resolution form that RCWD conduct a study by using their maintenance funds. Mr. Reinert moved to adopt Resolution #85 -12. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. Mrs. Anderson read the resolution. On the motion, mo- tion carried unanimously. CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION #85 - 12 RESOLUTION PETITIONING RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT FOR WATER MAINTENANCE FUNDS. WHEREAS: On July 25, 1985 the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes met with the Rice Creek Watershed District and Anoka County to discuss a proposed drainage project and; WHEREAS: The consensus of the group recommended a petition by the City of Lino Lakes to the Rice Creek Watershed District for a ditch study to be conducted in the area of County #22; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That the Lino Lakes City Council hereby petition the Rice Creek Watershed District to conduct a ditch study for the area of County Ditch #22.
