1 1 1 COUNCIL MEETI NG September 9, 1985 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order by Mayor Benson at 7:04 P.M., September 9, 1985. Council members present: Bohjanen, Reinert, Marier. Mr. Kul - aszewicz arrived at 7:10 P.M. City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; Building Official, Pete Kluegel; Acting City Engineer Bob Tod - die and Clerk- Treasurer, Marilyn Anderson were also present. City Administrator, Randy Schumacher was at a Park Board Meeting and arrived at 7:20 P.M. CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES AUGUST 26. 1985 Mrs. Anderson noted an error on page thirteen (13) first line; the first line should read "Mr. Reinert moved..." Mr. Reinert moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS August 31, 1985 - Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Disbursements as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. September 9, 1985 - Mr. Marier asked that the disbursement to Central Auto Parts be held until Mr. Volk can tell the Council why the windows in the two vehicles were replaced and why the costs were so high. Mr. Marier also asked about the disbursement to Battery and Tire Warehouse. He would like an explanation of why the costs for tires and windshield cleaner were so high. Mr. Marier moved to approve the Disbursements and hold the Dis- bursement to Central Auto Parts for further explanation. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Mr. Kulaszewicz questioned the Dis- bursement to Audio Communications. Mrs. Anderson explained that this was due to the sale of several city vehicles. The radios were removed from the cars that were sold and placed in vehicles cur- rently being used. On the motion, motion carried unanimously. OPEN MIKE A. Diane Harberts - Senior Transportation - Ms. Harberts has sent the Council a memorandum outlining the results of the Senior Trans- portation Survey for Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes and a recommendation that the City Council approve a joint - sponsored senior transportation program and appoint a committee to review and select the different components of the program. Mayor Benson asked if some of the costs of this program can be obtained from the Community Development Block Program. Ms. Har- bert said that this is an option. Also the County has secured 087
