1
COUNCIL MEETING
September 9, 1985
Page Nine
NEW BUSINESS
A. Set Meeting to Discuss Developers Agreement - This will be
discussed at the October 21, 1985 Council Meeting and a date will
be set at that time.
B. Rice Creek Watershed District Budget Proposal - Mr. Reinert
asked for further information. Mr. Schumacher explained this is
a preliminary budget so that they can set their levy with the
County. Mr. Reinert said it appeared they will be spending more
than they will be receiving.
C. David Doris - Forest Glen - Mr. Doris has called Mayor Benson
explaining he has problems with his new home built by the Menkveld
Company. Mr. Kluegel has checked this situation and it has gone
through the mediation process and the findings were such that no
corrections were required. Mr. Kluegel has in the past worked
with contractors to get other problems resolved. He was not aware
of any other homeowners with similar problems. Mr. Hawkins said
there is nothing the City can do here, it falls under the civil
liability section. There is no violation of any ordinances or
City Codes. If there is a continuing pattern of poor performance
by the builder his contractors license can be looked at further.
Mr. Bisel asked Mayor Benson if he had an opinion on the proposed
Mega Mall in Bloomington. Mayor Benson said since it is not pro-
posed for Lino Lakes he had no opinion.
Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn at 8:45 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen sec-
onded the motion. Aye.
These minutes were considered, corrected and approve at a regular
meeting on September 2.3-,--119- 85:-1-
f!
Marilyn`G.Anderson, City Clerk
\09.5
