Set Public Hearing for Revenue Sharing Funds for December <br />23, 1985, 7:30 P.M. - Mr. Bohjanen moved to set this hearing. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br />Mr. Marier asked why the City Hall was closed Christmas Eve and <br />New Year's Eve. Mr. Schumacher explained this is in the Personnel <br />Policy and is part of the City Code and has been for several <br />years. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Update of Anoka County Resource Recovery Program - Mr. <br />Schumacher explained a letter he has received from Commissioner <br />Langfeld which states the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />did establish Elk River as the primary site and Anoka and <br />Blaine as backup sites for the Waste Processing facility. <br />Also three areas in Blaine were named for consideration <br />for the transfer station. Lino Lakes is not considered <br />for either facility. <br />B. Joint Council Meeting Dealing With Gas Utilities Commission, <br />December 17, 1985, 7 :00 P.M. - Mr. Schumacher explained <br />Circle Pines has asked that this meeting start at 6:30 P.M. <br />There was no problem with this. <br />C. Open House - Dick Kulaszewicz, December 23, 1985, 6:00 P.M. <br />to 7:00 P.M. - This was a reminder for the Council. <br />D. Appointments - Mayor Benson wanted to know if the Council <br />wanted its annual meeting for appointments the first week <br />in January or during its regular meeting. The Council felt <br />a special meeting was not necessary. <br />E. Tax Exempt Legislation - Mr. Reinert noted the material from <br />League regarding tax exempt legislation. <br />Included in the pack was Chief Campbell's response to Ms. Holly <br />Hunt's complaint per Council's request at their last meeting. <br />F. East Holly Drive - Mr. Volk explained there is a problem <br />determining the center line on this street because of the <br />snow. He would like to delay this matter until a surveyor <br />can get there, possibly later this winter or early next <br />spring. Mr. Marier asked that the people in this area be <br />notified by letter of this situation. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to adjourn at 8:20 P.M. Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />seconded the motion.
