294 <br />RESOLUTION #83-5 PARKING ON BALD EAGLE BOULEVARD <br />A RESOLUTION RESTRICTING PARKING ON BALD EAGLE BOULEVARD <br />Council Meeting <br />January 24, 1983 <br />WHEREAS, upon a recommendation from the Lino Lakes Chief of Police <br />to restrict parking along designated areas of Bald Eagle <br />Boulevard due to concern for the health, safety, and <br />welfare of the public. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />That Lino Lakes City Council hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Public <br />Works to erect "NO PARKING" signs at the following locations; <br />commencing on the Westerly side of Bald Eagle <br />Boulevard at the 6100 block and proceeding <br />Northerly to the 6400 Block, Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 24th day of January, 1983. <br />Chief Myhre presented a report on this problem noting that there is no shoulder <br />on one side of the street and cars park on both sides creating a traffic problem. <br />By installing 'No Parking' signs this problem could be eliminated and this <br />Resolution would make it enforceable. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve this Resolution. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion <br />carried unanimous ly . <br />CONSTRUCTION OPTIONS FOR SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER <br />Mr. Marier moved to table this by request of Mr. Schumacher. Seconded by <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />A) Appointment of the City Engineer. Mayor Benson noted that since the tabling of <br />this item had been at the request of Mr. Kulaszewicz, he felt Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />should be present when this appointment is considered. Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to <br />table. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B) Appointment of Acting Mayor. Mayor Benson appointed Mr. Donald Marier as Acting <br />Mayor for 1983. The Clerk to provide the necessary forms for Mr. Marier's signature. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter summarized the problem with the deer for thief Myhre since he was not <br />present during the original discussion. <br />Mr. Marier thanked Mayor Benson for the appointment and expressed his appreciation <br />to Mr. Reinert for his work this past year in that position. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Codification - Mayor Benson noted that Council members had received a copy of the <br />index noting that the final draft is ready at this time. If any member has a <br />question on any portion, please contact the office and copies of that portion will <br />be made. <br />Mayor Benson noted that Anoka County had passed a Resolution supporting the racing <br />
