Council MemberReinert introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />• adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -101 <br />APPROVING A SPECIAL EVENT AND PARADE PERMIT <br />FOR BLUE HERON DAYS, AUGUST 17 -19, 2007 <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes summer celebration, Blue Heron Days, is planned for the <br />weekend of August 17 through August 19, 2007; <br />WHEREAS, the schedule for this year's festival includes a parade, 5K run, Chili Dog <br />Run, ambassador's program and coronation, petting zoo, a medallion hunt, bike rodeo, <br />and business expo; and <br />WHEREAS, the Blue Heron Days Committee has submitted an application to the City <br />for a special event and parade permit in conjunction with said events; and <br />WHEREAS, said permit applications were reviewed for compliance with the City of Lino <br />Lakes code of ordinances and the police, fire and public works divisions have given <br />• their approval; <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has approved a special permit to allow for parade activities <br />on Lake Drive on August 18 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. <br />• <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />That the City Council hereby approves the special event and parade permit application <br />for the 2007 Blue Heron Days festival subject to ongoing efforts to ensure proper safety, <br />signage and related issues. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of July, 2007. <br />ne Bartell, ity Jerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member o' Donnelland upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />Reinert, O'Donnell, Carlson, Stoltz, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />29b <br />
