STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />AGENDA ITEM 5C <br />Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />June 9, 2014 <br />Resolution No. 14-53, Approving Centennial School District <br />Lease for Radio Communications System at Water Tower #1 <br />3/5 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Centennial School District (CSD) is requesting to lease space at Water Tower #1 to <br />install a Radio System which is an integral component of their strategic plan to transition <br />to a district -wide Radio Communications System. This improved system will allow CSD <br />staff to communicate with all head custodians, grounds and snow removal personnel, and <br />have communications capabilities within each building and between buildings. The <br />Radio System will also be an important component of the CSD's Emergency <br />Communication System. For example, this will allow CSD staff to have communication <br />with Emergency Responders in the event of a security situation, regardless of where the <br />incident is taking place. <br />The agreed upon lease amount is $300 per month. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 14-53, Approving Centennial School District Lease for Radio <br />Communications System at Water Tower #1. <br />2. Do not adopt Resolution No. 14-53. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1 <br />
