KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />1. Knowledge, proficiency and accuracy in the use of computer applications and <br />software/hardware, including Microsoft Office Suite (word processing, spreadsheet and <br />power point presentations). <br />2. Strong verbal and written communication skills. <br />3. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all City staff and the general <br />public. <br />4. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with supervisors, co- <br />workers, and the general public. <br />5. Ability to work independently and to prioritize work. <br />6. Knowledge of office procedures and practices. <br />7. Knowledge of principles and procedures of record keeping. <br />8. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. <br />REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />1. High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of related office experience. <br />Completion of post -secondary coursework in office procedures or records maintenance <br />may be exchanged for one year of experience. <br />2. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. <br />3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. <br />4. Ability to type 40 wpm. <br />5. Ability to pass a law enforcement background investigation. <br />6. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Minnesota driver's license. <br />DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />1. Proficient in Microsoft Publisher and PowerPoint. <br />2. Minnesota Notary Public. <br />3. Work experience in public safety (police or fire department) office environment. <br />4.
