BASIS <br />Estimate cost for it construction is based on recent comparable project costs <br />of $30 per lineal f tfr rconstrit on. <br />II CONFLICTS <br />nflicts regarding 'this proposed trail will be kept to a minimum through proper <br />planning and community involvement. With any new proposed trail, there are common <br />concerrx5among residents adjacent to the trail. <br />One of these concerns is the effect the trail will have on their safety, security and <br />privacy. Genetally, regional trails in the metropolitan area do not have high criminal <br />activities related to trail use. As far as privacy is concerned, Anoka County will work <br />with the effected residents to minimize impacts. Various methods will be used, such as <br />vegetated screens or shifting the trail when possible, with the best methods being <br />determined by Anoka County and the affected resident. <br />Conflicts between pedestrian trail users and vehicular traffic will be kept to a minimum. <br />Where conflicts cannot be avoided, pavement striping, such as cross walks or striping of <br />the designated trail will reduce conflicts with vehicular traffic. Where the trail is in close <br />proximity to CSAH 14 /Main Street additional screening and buffering will be utilized to <br />Page 8 of 14 <br />
