September 10, 1979 <br />9 <br />Mr. Robert Keefe was present to discuss the installation of the cul -de -sac <br />into his property. His letter of credit expires 9/15/79 and the Council <br />would like to have the work done. Mr. Keefe suggested paying for this work <br />through the assessment process. The Council warned him it would cost a lot <br />more. Mr. Gotwald is to get a bid for Mr. Keefe to have the work done at <br />the time Deer Pass Trail is completed. <br />There was discussion on the completion of that portion of Rolling Hills <br />Dirve between Deer Pass Trial and this cul -de -sac and the general feeling <br />was that Mr. Gotwald would take this into consideration at the time the <br />work is considered. <br />Mr. McLean moved that Mr. Gotwald be instructed to obtain a bid for the in- <br />stallation of this cul -de -sac, also to porvide figures for both methods and <br />to have ready for Mr. Keefe at the next meeting. Mr. Keefe to renew his <br />letter of credit for at least 2 months until the work is completed. Second- <br />ed by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />The Public Hearing for the rezoning of lots in Carole's Estates that border <br />77th Street was called to order at 9:30 P.M. Mr. Locher read the notice <br />of legal publication and the list of persons to whom notices were mailed. <br />Mr. MCLean reported this matter had been before the Planning adn Zoning on <br />August 15, 1979 and this Board had recommended approval of this rezoning <br />with the stipulation that these lots may be used for single family res- <br />idents if so disired. The time limit imposed by Section 6.21 of Ordinance <br />#56 would apply to this rezoning. <br />IMayor Karth asked for comments from the audience and there were none. Mr. <br />McLean moved to approve this rezoning request. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to close the hearing at 9:40 P.M. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Lyndal Nelson was present to discuss a lot line problem in Sunset Oaks. <br />The foundations had been staked using the wrong back lot line thus putting <br />the home much too near the side lot line. Mr. Nelson was advised to consult <br />with his mortage insurance company and the bank hokding his mortgage. <br />Mr.'Kulaszewicz will present the Personnel Commission report at the Budget <br />hearing. <br />Mr. Schneider gave a very brief financial report. A11 Council members <br />have a copy of the latest report. <br />Mr. Zelinka reported on the Park Board meeting. Cost figures for the con - <br />struction of a new hockey rink had been considered. This would cost about <br />11/12,000.00 The Park Board felt that a pleasure rink should be built <br />instead of the hockey rink but a lcittle further apart. The Board recommended <br />that the base be garded and the area line with perhaps railroad ties - this <br />cost approximately $600.00 with about $125.00 for the surveying. <br />IAny decision on this was tabled until the budget hearing to be held on <br />September 11, 1979. <br />Mr. Zelinka reported that the LAWCOM application for the construction of <br />the building had been denied becasue Lino Lakes does not fit inot any of <br />the catagories as set forth by the State. <br />
