<br />Mr. McLean moved to instruct the Clerk to forward this action to the
<br />Anoka County Board of Commissioners. Seconded by Mr, Jaworski. Motion
<br />declared passed.
<br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved that the Council Chambers bedesignated as a "Non -
<br />Smoking" area and the hall ways as 'Somking Areas', with Mr. Schumacher
<br />be authorized to purchase the necessary signs. Seconded by MR, Jaworsk.
<br />Motion declared passed with Mayor Gourley, Mrs, Elsenpeter, and Mr.
<br />Jaworski voting, Yes, Mr, McLean and Mr. Kulaszewicz voting. No.
<br />Mr. Duane Rasmussen, of the Forest Lake Tiers, questioned the designation
<br />of the official newspaper. The Council informed him of their decision
<br />and explained the reasons,
<br />Mr. McLean moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr, Jaworsk, Aye.
<br />These minutes were considered and approved as corrected at the regular
<br />scheduled Council meeting held on January 14, 1980,

<br />January 14, 1980
<br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at
<br />7:30 P.M., January 14. 1980, by Mayor Gourley. Council members present;
<br />Elsenpeter, Jaworski, Kulaszewicz, McLean, Absent; None. Mr. Locher and
<br />Mr. Schumacher were also present.
<br />The minutes of December 26, 1979 were considered, Mayor Gourley had some
<br />corrrections; page one, questions on the figures of the Federal Revenue
<br />Sharing Funds - interes had bot been included in these figures. Mr. McLean
<br />felt these figures were correct at that time and should remain as written,
<br />Mr, Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by MR,
<br />MCLean. Motion declared passed, with Mr, Jawroski abstaining,
<br />The minutes of the January 3, 1980 Special meeting were considered. Mayor
<br />Gourley questioned the absence of the'no' votes being noted, Also on page
<br />two, second paragraph, reconstruct the sentence. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to
<br />approve the minues as corrected. Seconded byMr_, Kulaszawicz, Motion declared
<br />passed,
<br />On considering the disbursements, Mr. Jaworski had a question on the insurance
<br />and was told that the employees pay a portion of this premimum, Mr. MCLean
<br />moved to approve the disbursements for December 31, 1979 and January 14,
<br />1980. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carreid uananimously.
<br />Mr. Al Ross, from the audience, commended the newly elected members on the
<br />conduct of their campaings; he said he liked the 7:30 P.M, starting time
<br />for the meetings; reminded this Council that he is a member of the Transpor.
<br />tation Board and offered his assistance.
<br />Mr. Ross also suggested this Council consider an increas in their expenses.
