I Mr. Kulaszewicz moved this increase become effective February 1, 1980. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carreid unanimously. <br />January 14, 1980 <br />51 <br />He felt it had been sometime since an increase had been granted, After <br />solve d111S-s'on on this matter, considering if budgeted, Mr, Kulaszewicz <br />NYe4 that the Council expenses be increased to $50.00 per month. Seconded <br />by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Gourley said that residents who wish to appear before the Council <br />under this portion of the agenda, may call the C ity offices before the <br />end of the business day, on the day of the meeting and may have a five <br />minutes time slot at this point on the agenda. <br />The hearing on the Peltier View Plat was opened at 7.53 P.M. Mr. Schumacher <br />requested this hearing be continued due to the necessity of completing <br />documnets required by the Council. Mr. McLean moved this hearing be <br />continued until February 25, 1980. Seconded by Mr, Jaworski. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. McLean moved to set the time at 8:15 P.M. Seconded by MR. Jaworski. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Holman and Mr. O'Brian, from the Centennial School District Summer <br />Recreational Program, appeared before the Council ti discuss this program. <br />An outline of the programs offered was presented to the Council. There <br />were pass outs setting forth the people who use this program and the costs <br />of providing this service. There was also some statistics on contributions <br />to this program by the various communities that are within this school <br />district. The various programs and the age groups they serve was discussed <br />by Mrs. O'Brian. <br />Mr. Holman explained the costs involved in offering these programs and <br />asked this Council to review their decision over the past years to not <br />participate in the support of these services. Any asssitance this City <br />could give would greatly appreciated. <br />Mr. Schumacher asked where the dollars that now support this endeavor come <br />from and Mr. Holman said the major share comes from the District. He <br />alos inquired in the possibility of the CETA program being cut and the <br />effect this would have on the programs and Mr. Holman said the programs <br />would have to be cut and the cost per person would increase. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz requested that this discussion be deferred until the next <br />Council meeting to enable Mr. Schumacher to research the possibility of <br />.available monies. Mr. McLean noted that this had not been considered at <br />budget time. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to put this on the January 28, 1980 <br />agenda. Seconded by MR. Jaworski. Motion declared passed. Mayor Gourley <br />thanked the persons from the School District for their comprehensive report. <br />The Council considered the request of the VFW for renewal ganling license, <br />Mr. Jordahl, the Commander, presented the request to the Council. He said <br />the new gambling manager is Mr. Douglas Means. This action is authorized <br />under State Statutes for nonprofit orginazations. <br />Mr. Jordahl requested a copy of these minutes or some for of a license for <br />the State Inspector. A copy of the Resolution authorizing this license <br />will be available at the next Council meeting, <br />Mr. Jordahl asked for permission to turn in a report quarterly. He felt <br />
